FAQ

Nonprofit billboard questions

Is a nonprofit discount guaranteed?
No. Nonprofit pricing depends on the market, the time of year, and what space is open, so we can't promise a discount. What we can promise is that we'll always work hard to get you the best rate we can.
Who can apply for nonprofit billboard rates?
Our nonprofit pricing is for registered 501(c)(3) organizations. If your group isn't a 501(c)(3), you're always welcome to advertise with us, and we'll help you find the right options for your budget.
How much does billboard advertising cost for a nonprofit?
It depends on the market, the format, the size of the board, and how long it runs. Most billboards are booked in four-week blocks. Our billboard cost calculator can give you a ballpark, and when you send a request we'll show you real rates, including any nonprofit pricing we're able to find.
What are the best billboard options for a nonprofit on a limited budget?
Digital billboards are often the best place to start. Your ad shares the screen with a few others in rotation, which keeps the cost below a static board, and runs can be shorter. Posters, the smaller boards you'll see along city streets, and bus shelters are budget-friendly options, too. Focusing on one neighborhood near your location or event helps a smaller budget go further. Tell us what you have to work with, and we'll build a plan that gets you the most for it.
How far ahead should we plan?
Give yourself at least a month for static billboards, since the vinyl has to be printed and installed, and about two weeks for digital billboards. If you're planning around year-end giving or a big event, reach out a little earlier so you have more space to choose from.
Can you help with the billboard design?
Yes. We can help you turn your message into a board that's clear, easy to read at a glance, and in line with your brand. If you already have artwork, we'll make sure it meets the specs for every board.
Can we advertise in more than one city?
Yes. We plan campaigns across the country, so you can run in one neighborhood or several states, and we'll look for nonprofit pricing in each market.
